Dr. Noura El-Ahmady El-Naggar is a microbiologist. She completed her Ph.D in microbiology from Botany Department, Faculty of Science, Mansoura University, Egypt, 1998. She completed her M.Sc. in microbiology from Botany Department, Faculty of Science, Mansoura University, Egypt, 1993. She is presently employed as associate professor in Bioprocess Development Department, City for Scientific Research and Technology Application, Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Research Institute, New Borg El-Arab city, Alexandria, Egypt. She published more than 30 articles in peer-reviewed journals. El-Naggar is a member of the "Egyptian Society of Applied Microbiology ". She is a member of the editorial board of the peer-reviewed journals "Journal of Microbial & Biochemical Technology", the Journal "Fermentation Technology" and Journal of Biochemistry Research and Review. She is a reviewer of the journal “Applied Biochemistry and Biotechnology”, African Journal of Microbiology Research", World Journal of Microbiology and Biotechnology, Carbohydrate Polymers, International Research Journal of Microbiology, Jordan Journal of Biological Sciences (JJBS), Natural Product Research (Formerly Natural Product Letters) and Anti-Cancer Agents in Medicinal Chemistry. She has about 30 Gene Bank Records. She is a Founder Member of Euro Med Association for Life Sciences (EMALS, Alexandria, Egypt. Member of the "Egyptian Society of Applied Microbiology".
1. Isolation and identification of the bacteria belonging to Actinomycetes. 2. Production and optimization of process parameters for high value products using different types of microorganisms. These include the production of enzymes, antibiotics, organic acids, single cell oil, bio-fuel, and silver nanoparticles biosynthesis. 3. Conversion of renewable raw materials into sustainable and cost-effective bio-products. 4. Purification of the enzymes and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis.
