Dr. Danial khorsandi currently researcher at Harvard Medical School, Biomaterial Innovation research center. They are working on new technology in Cornea surgery ! He has studied Biotechnology at the Isfahan University of Technology (IUT), one of the top ranked Universities of IRAN. When he was a Bachelor student he focused on medicinal plants and their antimicrobial and anti-oxidants activities. By cooperation of his professor-Dr. Mehdi Rahimmalek- he published the first Persian source of Medicinal plant Biotechnology by the name of "Determination of Compounds and Medicinal plants Biotechnology". Immediately after publishing that book, one of the other professors of IUT, asked him to publish another book about Biosafety! They translated one of the most important resources of Biosafety by the name of " The Blue book: Recombinant DNA safety Consideration". All these activities rewarded him the most active student of 2014 in IUT! January 2015 he published 2 articles and presented them to the 2nd International Conference on Natural products Utilization, Plodiv, Bulgaria. One of the referees of that conference- Dr. Javier Palazon- invited him to continue his researches on Molecular Biotechnology at the University of Barcelona. In Barcelona he focused on Molecular Bio-medicine, Immunology and genomics! Then he applied to do his research thesis on Biomaterial at the Harvard Medical School under supervision of Prof. Ali Khademhosseini. Currently he is working on a new technology in eye surgery by designing a new compound as a bio-adhesive to use it instead of traditional stitching in surgery of Cornea! We already made it and proved it, we got animal test approval and we are going to write the article and send it to Nature magazine! In addition, he is writing a review article about "Genetically studying the autoimmune disease of skin". He is also working in Barcelona Skin Genomics Company.
