Dr. Hardeep Singh Tuli, did his masters in biotechnology (2009) and completed his PhD in Biotechnology (2015). His research topic, during PhD was “Isolation, optimization and biochemical analysis of cordycepin from Cordyceps militaris 3936; Evaluation of its anti-proliferatory and anti-angiogenic potential. He isolated a bioactive molecule from Cordyceps militaris and evaluated its effect on A549 human lung cancer cell line. During his PhD he received university research scholarship (URS) award. Beside previous research experience, he is also having four years of teaching experience. He has published more than 30 publications in national and international reputed research journals, with hundreds of citations. He has a good laboratory hands-on experience in microbiological techniques such as isolation and identification of bacterial and fungal microorganisms, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, extraction of plant extracts, evaluation of plant extract and chemical compounds for their antimicrobial, anti-proliferatory and anti-angiogenic activity, drug-receptor-interactions based on docking, Identification of bacteria through molecular methods (GenBank KP165532.1), as evidenced by his research publications in the National and International journals of repute. His methodical approach and good analytical ability makes him adept in experimental skills. He has also guided PG students for their dissertation work related to Microbiology and Biotechnology. He is also providing his services as editorial board member in various other national and international journals. More recently one of his publication has been considered to publish as a short news in Italy based magazine “Laboratorio 2000”.
He has a keen interest to isolate and purify bioactive natural products/ metabolites of therapeutic potential. His skilled areas are as follows: Cordyceps, Nanoparticles, Cancer Biology, Microbial Biotechnology, Cell Cycle and Therapeutics.
