Dr. Ariovaldo received his M.Sc. in Hidraulyc and Sanitation Engineering in 1999 from the University of São Paulo, Brazil. In 2005, he earned his Ph.D. in Hydraulic and Sanitation Engineering from the same institution, supported by São Paulo Research Foundation - FAPESP. Dr. Ariovaldo joined the Laboratory of Biological Process at State University of São Paulo for his one-year postdoctoral fellowship supported by FAPESP (2011-2012). In 2012, he ingressed at State University of Campinas became an investigator at School of Agricultural Engineering. Nowadays, he is a Doctor Professor and Leader Investigator of The Sanitation Laboratory at same institution, Campinas, Brazil.
Biological process for treatment of wastewater, anaerobic digestion of wastes aiming recover resources, biogas generation from agricultural wastes, nitrogen removal process for wastewater from aquiculture and others research relate to rural sanitation.
