Dr. Muhammad Furqan Akhtar (M. Phil., PhD.) is an Assistant Professor and registered Pharmacist in The Faculty of Pharmacy at The University of Lahore, Pakistan. He accomplished his Ph.D in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (Pakistan) and M. Phil from Bahaudin Zakariya University (Pakistan). Scientifically, he has been interested in developing novel toxicity biomarkers to evaluate and monitor the efficacy and potential toxicity of crude and novel drugs. Technically, he has been interested in safety evaluation and drug development using in-vitro techniques and animal models of disease with special emphasis on diabetes. He is also interested in toxicological implications of environmental pollutants. He has remarkable records of academic and scientific accomplishments with numerous research and review publications in prestigious international journals.
