Biography

Dr. Bhuvaneshwar Vaidya, Senior Research Associate at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Amarillo TX- USA, has been working for more than ten years on the development and evaluation of novel drug delivery systems for effective delivery of bio-actives for treatment of variety of disorders. Dr. Vaidya has earned his Ph D from Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar, India. His major research areas include exploitation of novel carriers and bio-ligands for treatment of cardiovascular disorders particularly thromboembolism and pulmonary arterial hypertension, and cancer. He is investigating several FDA approved off-patent drugs for treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension and pulmonary fibrosis and is interested in exploiting novel molecular pathways involved in the pathogenesis of diseases for the investigation of new therapies. Before moving to the United States, he has been working as an Associate Professor in Department of Pharmaceutics at ISF College of Pharmacy, Moga India. He has supervised more than 10 students for their graduate research projects. Dr. Vaidya has published his research work in several journals of high repute. He has more than 40 peer-reviewed publications including several book chapters and invited review articles in his credit. He is widely visited researcher and presented several papers in international and national conferences. He has also been awarded for Career Award for Young Teachers by All India Council for Technical Education, Govt. of India.
