BIOGRAPHY: Dr. Maria Grazia Spurio Psychotherapist (PhD), expert in neuropsychology with a master's degree in forensic psychology, lives and works in Rome, her interest in people and other cultures often lead her around the world. He has been for several years the President of the Psychological Academy "Mind and Greatness". He founded the high educational psychology school "Genius Academy". She works for the growth and the psychological well-being of individuals and families in the social relationships and within the world of work. She is currently involved in many free social initiatives, in particular as a founding member of the no-profit association "The children of Yucatan" (www.bambinidelloyucatan.org), she organizes humanitarian and charitable initiatives and events. She received her doctorate in Social and Psychological Researches and Disciplines from La Sapienza University of Rome, she is currently APA member (American Psychological Association) and Centstupsi member (Study Center for Psychiatry ). She received a second level master in neuropsychiatry and neuropsychology from L.U.M.S.A. University of Rome, in collaboration with the San Camillo Forlanini Hospital in Rome, developing an orientation and holistic approach to the individual in a bio-psycho-social perspective. Areas of professional interest include researches in the field of the wellness and personal care in close connection with the medical, anatomical, psychological and neural aspects of the human psyche. She applies the scientific methods to her research studies, observations and publications. The focus is not only on the disease and the illness, but on the strength and well-being of the individual by drawing on the resources rather than on weaknesses. The approach of the brief strategic psychotherapy that dr Spurio applies in her profession put the individual and his potentiality of changement to the center of therapautic intervention, with the aim to solve the problems and dysfunctional situation for psychological and physical health of individuals and groups. The university degree in Communication, Education and Innovation in Social and Organizational Contexts, achieved at the University of Rome La Sapienza, directs her to share her knowledge and researches through publications (books and articles in specialized journals), seminars and conferences all around the world on the subject of practical applications of psychology in everyday life. Areas of research interests include: artistic activities such as the psychology of art and aesthetic experience, the psychology of tourism, such as the use of journey as a method of psychological intervention, and the psychology of the environment. He has published several books and articles in specialized journals on the topics of healing through the use of words in psychotherapy, the mind - body circularity and recursivity as well as research projects in the field of prevention.
