He completed MSc epidemiology in 2008 November and joined the Academic Center for Dentistry Amsterdam (ACTA) as a PhD student in February 2009. After 4 years of hard work, He successfully defended my PhD thesis entitled “Host-bacterial interaction in peri-implantitis”. In December 2012, while working on my PhD thesis, he started teaching at “Peshawar Dental College” at the department of Oral Pathology, as assistant professor. After serving there for almost 4 years, he got a job offer from College of Dentistry, Al Jouf University and joined it as assistant professor in August, 2016.
His primary area of research is host-bacterial interaction in the pathogenesis of periodontal diseases and peri-implantitis. He also interested in the interaction of biomaterials with living tissue, more specifically, inflammatory and immune responses of human cells to biomaterials both in vitro and in vivo. In addition, He want to explore the relationship between chronic systemic disease and periodontitis and their common inflammatory pathways. Susceptibility of periodontal pathogens to antibiotics and antibiotic resistance is also an important area which he would like to explore further. He also interested in preventive and community dentistry, epidemiology and oral pathology.
