Dr. Kamran Rahmatnejad is a glaucoma research fellow at Glaucoma Research Center, Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. He earned his MD degree from Hamadan University of Medical sciences, Iran. As a medical student, he was awarded the top student, ranked first in the university and second in the country in pre-internship board exam. His ophthalmology residency ran from 2006-10 in Farabi Eye Hospital, Tehran University of medical Sciences, Iran. He was honored top resident award in 2007. After his graduation in 2010 with board certification, he practiced for 1 years as a faculty member at KUMS, and 3 years in private practice. In 2015 he started a glaucoma research fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital. Dr. Rahmatnejad has given oral presentations at Iranian Congress of Ophthalmology and Wills Hospital Alumni meetings, presented posters at American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Glaucoma Society, and Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.
