Dr. Vivek Sharma holds doctoral degree from Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology (CSIR-IHBT) Palampur and Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar, India in Microbiology. He was having over ten years experience of microbiological research on working with plant beneficial microbes which includes proteomics and genomics of related filed. This includes experience of designing, validating and operating a range of microbiological research including protein purification, characterization from native strains as well as over expression of recombinant protein and genomics including RNA, DNA, realtime PCR based studies, development of SCAR markers for plant resistance. In addition, He experienced in handling various microbial cultures such as fungal, bacterial and plant viruses investigation He was additionally involved with the Department of Plant Pathology, CSK HPKV Palampur India in training students with various molecular techniques. He also reviewer in some of the scientific international journals. He has published more than 14 research paper in international journals and participated in both national and international conferences. He has been awarded DST Young Scientist FAST Track project on “Understanding the complexity of biocontrol mechanisms of Trichoderma at proteomic, genomic and metabolomic level” by SERB new Delhi, India. He is handling research project and technical writing and review projects at present department. He also written book chapters articles relating to plant microbiology.
