Dr. Guliy (Gulii) Olga is a leading researcher at Institute of Biochemistry & Physiology of Plants & Microorganisms RAS (IBPPM RAS). She is a chartered biologist and holds degree (DSc (Biology)) in microbiology and biotechnology. Education - Biological faculty of the Saratov State University named after N.G. Chernyshevsky (with honors). She is rank of associate professor in “Microbiology”. She has about twenty years experience of microbiological and biotechnological research. This includes experience of development a novel method (a biosensor system) for determining the organophosphorus aromatic nitro insecticides and studies of cellular metabolism; development of new antibiotic resistance assay of microbial cells; creation a new approach for determination of bacteria with the help of selective binding agents (antibodies, mini-antibodies or bacteriophages) by electro physical methods; isolation and identification of bacteriophages from microbial cells; synthesis and analysis of scFv antibodies using the mice combinatorial bacteriophage display library; development a new test-system for detection bacteriophages by electro physical methods. She is professor of the department microbiology, biotechnology and chemistry of Saratov State Agrarian University for microbiology and biotechnology M.Sc course. She was scientific supervisor of 7 diploma and 3 dissertation projects of the students. In addition, she is accredited by the Federal Register expert scientific and technical areas. She is a member of the Dissertation Council at IBPPM RAS. She is consisting in the Russian Integration Association for Clinical Microbiology and Antimicrobial Chemotherapy and is a member of several editorials boards for scientific journals. She is co-author of 181 scientific publications (including one patent, and 78 scientific papers). Also she participated in research projects including grants: CRDF; ISSEP; Russian Science Support Foundation; Integration of science and high education of Russia; Ministry of Education and Science of Russia; Federal agency of science and innovation; Academia European of Science; President of the Russian Federation's; NATO Collaborated Linkage; ISTC; RFBR.
