Dr. Hugo Pena-Verdeal native of Galicia is a lecturer and researcher in the Area of Optometry at the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain), and also works as optician in a private optic center. He completed his degree on Optic and Optometry, and a master in Neuroscience Investigation at the University of Santiago de Compostela. In 2016 he ended his PhD in the Molecular Medicine program of the same university with a thesis in Dry Eye Disease diagnostic, achieving the highest mark. In the last years he was the principal author or co-author of around twenty journal articles and book chapters, as well as more than 40 communications in international congresses.
