"José Eduardo Vargas holds a bachelor's degree in Genetics from the National University of Misiones-Argentina (2007). He completed his master's and doctoral degrees in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul-UFRGS in 2009 and 2013, respectively. He completed postdoctoral studies at the Center for Research in Environmental Epidemiology (Barcelona, Spain) in 2015, as a member of the BioInformatic Group in Genetic Epidemiology (BRGE). He is currently carrying out research activities at the Infant Center at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), focused on the study of the genetic aspects that lead to the development of asthma and associated comorbidities. He has experience in Molecular Biology and Genetics, and is currently working with assembly of predictive models using Systems Biology models."
