In 2008 Started research at CSIR-IMMT, worked in the Department of Environment and Sustainability in the project of Coastal Ocean Monitoring and Prediction System. Experienced in cruise experience in offshore research vessel Sagar Manjusha and in coastal research vessel Sagar Paschimi and Sagar Purvi (MoES research vessels) during sample collection from shore, offshore and estuaries. Pursued Ph.D under the guidance of Dr. R.C.Ray in the topic Fermented (Alcoholic) beverages from sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas L.). We have developed red wine, herbal wine and beer by using sweet potato as substrate. The work was unique and innovative and also got the attention of national media as the products were very similar to commercial products and from a cheaper substrate. The products have a bright scope of commercialization. Awarded PhD in 2012. Currently working at Dept. of Biotechnology and Food Technology, University of Johannesburg since May, 2015 in the field of Bioprocessing for probiotic foods.
