Dr. Gaurav Raj Dwivedi received a first class degree in Zoology & Botany; a first class Masters degree in Microbiology; and had a doctorate degree in Microbiology from CSIR-Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants & Dr. R.M.L. Avadh University. He had over 15 years research experience of microbiological and drug discovery. This includes mechanism of drug resistance of Escherichia coli, MRSA and VISA strains of Staphylococcus aureus. Prospected the antimicrobial and/or synergistic potential of plant molecules by disc diffusion assay, macro/micro broth dilution assay, poison agar assay, checker-board assay etc. Further studied the impact of plant molecules on the different drug resistant genes/proteins by real time expression analysis, cloning, sequencing and expression of drug resistant genes, fluorometer based efflux inhibition assay, ATPase inhibition assay and efficacy was validated by in- silico molecular docking, ADMET analysis as well as in-vivo toxicity. His research focus is on mechanism of mutidrug resistance (MDR), In-silico and OMICS study, drug target identification, screening, possible mode of action of plant compounds /nanoparticles, Host-Pathogen Interaction: Mechanism of pathogenesis for Pseudomonas aeruginosa & Escherichia coli. Currently Dr. Dwivedi is working as senior scientist in ICMR-Regional Medical Research Centre Bhubaneswar. In addition to research, he is an experienced tutor and was associated with the School of Environmental Science, B. B. A. University for the university’s Environmental Science & Industrial Microbiology M. Sc courses. In addition, he is the member of several editorials boards for scientific journals. He is a life member of the Society of Biological Chemists of India. He acted as a research scientist & expert technical advisor to Bio-Brainz Life Sciences and also undertaken several technical writing and review projects. He have written over 30 peer reviewed papers, 6 book chapters, 5 proceeding articles, 35 research abstracts, and delivered more than 10 invited talks, keynote and plenary talks in national and international venues. He received CSIR-NET (2003), GATE (2003), Senior Research Fellowship (2009), Young scientist award (2014) and Talent Search Scientist award (ICMR-TSS 2017).
