Biography

Hong-Liang Zhang got his M.D. degree from Jilin University, China, in 2005 and Ph.D. degree from Karolinska Institute, Sweden, in 2012. From 2012 to 2016, Dr. Zhang worked in Jilin University as an associate professor. From 2016, he has been working as the Program Director in Neuroscience at the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Dr. Zhang's research focuses on neuroimmunological disorders, with particular emphasis on Guillain-Barre syndrome. Dr. Zhang serves as academic editor for PLoS One and as reviewer for Nature Reviews Neurology and Annals of Internal Medicine, etc. Dr. Zhang is currently member of several international scientific societies including the American Academy of Neurology, the International Society of Infectious Diseases, the International Society for Neurochemistry and the Southern Medical Association. Dr. Zhang won his award Top-grade Reviewer for Annals of Internal Medicine in 2010.
