Dr Bozkurt completed his medical training at Hacettepe University Medical School Ankara-TURKEY in 1997. He had his residency training at Department of Nuclear Medicine, Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine between the years 1997and 2003. He served as an instructor at Department of Nuclear Medicine, Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 2005. He underwent a reseach fellowship program on oncological PET imaging at University of Pennsylvania PET Center in Philadelphia, USA in 2003 upon an international research grant. He was rewarded by Turkish Cancer Research Council in 2003 for the second best original research on oncology and for the third best oral presentation at IX. National Gynecologic Oncology Congress in the year 2004. He was invited for the first Young Investigator’s Meeting in the field of nuclear medicine therapy by European Association of Nuclear Medicine at Vienna in 2009. He underwent a visiting scientist program on Cardiac PET imaging at Nuclear Cardiology Department at Harvard University Brigham and Women’s Hospital in 2009. He had his associate professorship degree in 2010. He was also certified by European Board of Nuclear Medicine in the same year. He has been functioning as an executive board member and the treasurer of Turkish Society of Nuclear Medicine since the year 2014. He was rewarded in recognition of collaboration with ACNM (American College of Nuclear Medicine) for the first Annual International Sceintific Session in the year 2016. He has a position as a senior advisor for Nuclear Oncology Committee of EANM (European Association of Nuclear Medicine) and he has been functioning as the Level 1 Education Chair at ESMIT (European School of Multimodality Imaging and Therapy since the year 2016.
His areas of main interest are especially nuclear oncology, nuclear cardiology and intraoperative gamma probe applications in nuclear medicine.
