Prof. Mohamed Laban has a Doctorate degree in Obstetrics &Gynecology from Ain Shams University, Cairo - Egypt. In 1993 professor Laban had a mission to MDACC - Houston -Texas to conduct his doctorate degree thesis on the prognostic value of Flow Cytometry in malignant ovarian tumors , where he had practical training and professional experience at surgical pathology , Gynecological and medical Oncology Departments on Molecular Biology techniques , DNA extraction from paraffin embedded tissues , gynecological oncology and various updated chemotherapy protocols for management of female genital tract cancers . He is a member of gynecological oncology Unit at Ain Shams University hospital. He has been a full Professor since 2005 .He is a coordinator of residency training program , member of the University Hospital Research and Ethical Committee , member of the hospital quality assurance committee and member of the Supreme committee of Promotion for Associate Professor job in The Supreme Council of Higher Education in Egypt . He is much dedicated for under and postgraduate teaching and training, supervising many MSc and Doctorate degree thesis in the fields of gynecology and gynecological oncology. He had several outstanding publications in both national and international journals; he participated in writing several Text books and teaching materials chapters about gynecological malignancies. He conducted and supervised several training programs in Reproductive health, Gynecological malignancies, how to write and revise a thesis and a manuscript. He is a reviewer and a member of editorial board for many high ranked international journals, and he is a member of several international societies for gynecological malignancies.
