Dr. Sindi is a specialist in Restorative Dentistry at the Saudi Ministry of Health. He was a full-time Clinical Teaching Fellow (CTF) in Restorative Dentistry in the School of Dentistry, University of Leeds for the past two years (2014-2016). During his CTF role, he was heavily involved in teaching undergraduate dental students as well as performing research. He successfully obtained ethical approval from the National Research Ethics Service and commenced a research study in which he was the Chief Investigator. He gained his Clinical PhD in Restorative Dentistry in 2014 and his MSc in Restorative Dentistry (with Distinction) in 2010 from the Leeds School of Dentistry and his BDS from the University of Jordan in 2004.
During his PhD studies, he successfully completed a clinical trial looking into monitoring erosive tooth wear in vivo using an ultrasonic device, in which he was the Principle Investigator. Dr. Sindi has published his work in international peer-reviewed journals and is currently leading a UK based research team investigating the awareness of patients to erosive tooth wear as well as being involved in several other research projects in the UK. He has a vast experience in clinical and basic science research and is research active. He has supervised several Masters and Bachelors degree projects and was an Internal Examiner for the MSc in Restorative Dentistry at the School of Dentistry, University of Leeds.
Dr. Sindi is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in the United Kingdom.
His research interest are Tooth wear; Dental materials; Colour science; Endodontics; CAD-CAM dentistry and teaching and learning in dentistry.
