Jesús Jiménez Ruiz is a Researcher at the National Institute for Agricultural and Food Research (INIA) in Madrid (Spain) and is a Scientific Expert on Regulation of pesticides. He is graduated as a BSc in Environmental Sciences (Mention in Environmental Biology) at the University of Jaén (Spain) and now is involved in the BSc in Chemistry. He has an MSc in Biological Conservation and Ecology and Postgraduate courses on crop protection and Molecular Techniques. He obtained his PhD from the Polytechnic University of Madrid in the Plant Biology Department in 2016.
He is specialist of Biological Chemistry with focus in the Biochemistry and the Molecular Biology on chemical substances and the mode of action. Currently, his research and professional career is focused on the Biological Efficacy of chemical molecules and pesticides, in addition in non-chemical alternatives to improve the agricultural production such as: fungal pathogens, microorganisms (Bacillus thuringiensis among others), biochemical substances, semio-chemicals and plants extracts. He has experience on Microbiology of water and solid residues, molecular biology techniques applied on detect fungal pathogens, plant anatomy, ecology and management of invasive plants.
