Biography

Dr. Gallegos is Coordinator of the Bachelor's degree in optometry at the Autonomous University of Queretaro and the head of strabismus of the Queretaro Institute for the care of congenital diseases, with 27 years of professional experience.

Dr. Gallegos is ophthalmologist who graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the UNAM with high specialization in "Ocular Motility Disorders" endorsed by the UNAM and by the Ophthalmic Hospital of our Lady of light. He has worked as a doctor attached to the ophthalmology service at the hospital of the ISSSTE, in the service of strabismus of the Mexican Institute of Ophthalmology, as a Professor of Ophthalmology, "Integration based on problems", "Morphology of the Visual system" and "Biology compared of the Vision" at the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro, Professor of Ophthalmology and Genetics at the University of the Valley of Mexico and researcher in the same; He is former President of the Mexican Center of strabismus, has held various positions in the Mexican society of Ophthalmology and is a leader of opinion in strabismus. He has given lectures and theoretical courses on strabismus and Neuroestrabismo in various parts of the world: Belgium, Switzerland, France, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, USA, Dominican Republic and Mexico. He is a member of the Mexican society of Ophthalmology, the Mexican Council of Ophthalmology, and the Latin American Council of strabismus, Mexican Center of strabismus, the ophthalmology society of Queretaro and the center of the Mexican Republic. Awarded the "Medal Josefa Vergara" for his altruistic work, first in research of the CONCyTEC of the State of Queretaro, first doctor Cirujano VII and VIII cycles at the Faculty of Medicine of the UNAM. It has developed in the field of research and has 56 publications, including 25 articles, 4 chapters in books, technical reports, 1 Doctoral thesis and conferences on line and has 5 lines of research in progress with 2 groups of researchers.

Dr. Gallegos completed the PhD in medical research at the Faculty of Medicine of the UAQ. Four years of doctoral studies concluded with school average of 9.2 and currently is in process of obtaining the degree of Doctor.
