Dr. Sarah Fernández Díez graduated from University of Carabobo as a dentist where she received many recognitions for outstanding academic average, she completed a two years program in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology in Lima Peru at Peruvian University Cayetano Heredia. She was professor in the first distance program of Specialization in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology at the same University and the Centro de Diagnóstico por Imágenes Dr. Hugo Aguayo where she had the opportunity to work with the outstanding Radiologist Hugo Aguayo Olivares and his team. She is currently professor in the Faculty of Dentistry at University of Carabobo where she has taught for almost 6 years. Classes include grade and post grade programs. For seven years she has been working in diagnostic of Conventional Radiography, Cone Beam Tomography and magnetic resonance of Temporomandibular Joint disorders. She wrote articles for the journal from the Peruvian University Cayetano heredia and from the University of The Andes in Venezuela and this has developed her interest in research of characteristics and prevalence of disease in the maxillofacial area through digital images. Now she is writing scientific articles by herself and as a member of a group working with professionals of the Peruvian University Cayetano Heredia and Latin America.
She is currently member of the Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Peruvian Association (APERBUM) and the Venezuelan Society of Dentomaxillofacial Radiology and Imaging (SVRID) and is participating also in their conferences and congresses.
Over the past years she earned two internationals poster awards and has been an invited as a lecturer for Scientific Associations of different specialties in dentistry.
