Biography

Dr. Mostafa Kandil is a Professor Emiritus in Human Clinical Anatomy, Neuroanatomy and Embryology, College of Medicine at Alexandria University Egypt. Kandil received his Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery with high honors from Alexandria University, Egypt in 1981with very good and honors grade. After graduation, he worked as medical specialist at governmental Egyptian hospitals. He joined Department of Human Anatomy and Embryology at Faculty of Medicine Alexandria University as demonstrator in 1982. He received his Master degree with excellent degree in Basic Medical Science in 1986. He then obtained his PhD /MD degree in Basic Medical Sciences Human Anatomy and Embryology in 1991. In years 1993-1999 Kandil did research on ultra structure of cerebral temporal cortex, peripheral nerves, neuropathies and effects of electromagnetic fields on cerebral vessels and glial cells. Kandil joined the Faculty of Medicine Human Clinical Anatomy in Sultan Qaboos University in 2003 until he moved to Kingdom Saudi Arabia at King Saud Bi Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences in 2007. He worked as associate Professor in College of Medicine King Fahad campus in basic medical sciences department human clinical gross anatomy Neuroanatomy and embryology till now.


Research Interest

Electron Microscopy research, particularly on effects of Electromagnetic fields and ultrastructure of Nervous Tissues.
