Dr. Mihail “Misha” Zilbermint is an Assistant Professor at the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He is involved in clinical education of Endocrinology Fellows.
He is Director of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Care at Suburban Hospital, Johns Hopkins Medicine in Bethesda, MD. He established an Inpatient Diabetes Management Service. His goal is to promote better glycemic control and reduce hypoglycemia in hospitalized patients at Suburban Hospital.
Dr. Zilbermint has a particular interest in rare genetic diseases. He described and published the clinical phenotype of the NIH cohort of patients with mutations in ARMC5 gene, associated with macronodular adrenal hyperplasia and primary aldosteronism. Zilbermint is currently involved in NIH-sponsored clinical protocol, exploring whether the ARMC5 gene plays a role African-American hypertensive patients.
