Biography

Dr. Paras Kumar Mishra is an Associate Professor in the Department of Cellular and Integrative Physiology, University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska, USA. He received his Ph.D. from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India in 2006. He did Postdoctoral training in the Department of Biology, Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia from 2007-2008. He worked as Research Associate in the Department of Physiology and Biophysics, University of Louisville, Kentucky from 2008-2010, and promoted to Assistant Professor in 2010, and continued there till 2013. In 2013, he moved to Department of Cellular and Integrative Physiology, University of Nebraska Medical Center as Assistant Professor and continued till 2014. In 2015, he was promoted to Associate Professor in the same Department. His research program is supported by the National Institutes of Health Grant.

MicroRNomics of cardiovascular diseases and diabetic cardiomyopathy; Extracellular matrix remodeling; Exercise physiology; Autophagy and Mitophagy.
