Prof. Mamdooh Abdelhameed Abdelmottlep earned his PhD in Police Sciences and Law in 1991 and his professorship in Criminal Justice in 2007. He has held numerous police posts in Egypt for 18 years. He has also occupied consultative posts in the field of police, security and law in Qatar for 7 years, and United Arab Emirates for 15 years. He participated in a host of conferences and symposia (75) and had a great deal of published studies and researches (150). He worked as a lecturer and trainer in the fields of criminal justice, police and law in Egypt, Qatar, KSA, UAE, Italy and USA. He is a registered and licensed advocate before Supreme Administrative Court and Court of Cassation.
He has recently founded the “International Police Science Association IPSA” which is a non-profit organization and which brings under one roof experts, researchers and scholars concerned with security work from all over the world. He has been the Editor-in-Chief of “Alfikr Alshurti” Periodical since 2008 until now. Notably, “Alfikr Alshurti” is a quarterly, scientific periodical refereed and indexed, specialized in Police Sciences and distributed overseas. He has joined many team works, and contributed to that Sharjah Police in UAE wins a host of awards such as Minister of Interior's Excellence Award in 2013, and Mohammed Bin Rashid Government Excellence Award in 2014. He has also recently invented a global internal security index under the name: “Sharjah Global Internal Security Index SGISI”, scheduled to be released in mid-2015. He has received numerous awards both locally and regionally, the most prominent of which was Distinction Award in Public Administration, and Academic Distinction Award for obtaining PhD, both were received in Egypt.
He was also awarded Ideal Employee Prize by Sharjah Police, UAE in the years 2011, 2012 and 2013 in a row, and moreover he received Job Excellence Decoration from UAE's Minister of Interior in 2014, and also Excellence Decoration from H.H Ruler of Sharjah in 2014, internationally. He has been awarded “CRIMINOLGIA.IT” Award from Italy in recognition of his tireless efforts in the development of police sciences, and the restructuring of Arab Police bodies in terms of training, education, organizational structure, academic specialization and re-delegation of responsibilities between police bodies, various government sectors and private sector.
