Dr. Andreja Carek (DMD, MSD, PhD, Assistant Professor, Prosthodontist) was born in Zagreb. She was graduated from University of Zagreb, School of Dental Medicine with the degree of DMD, 2005. She has her Master's degree on the subject: "Analysis of base alloys solder joints made by different technologies". In 2007, she became specialist in prosthetics. In 2009 she achieved PhD diploma and subject of her PhD dissertation was "Investigation of relationships between properties and structural irregularities of Co-Cr alloys joints”.
She attended a postgraduate course I category "Medical education." The course was organized by the Croatian Society for Medical Education and Department of teaching technology Faculty of Medicine, University of Zagreb (2009). In the year 2012 she achieved vocation of Assistant Professor at the Department of Prosthodontics School of Dental Medicine University of Zagreb. She carried out a wide research and has many publications in local and international journals.
Teaching activities: Associate at course "Pre-clinical and Laboratory Fixed Prosthodontics", Fixed Prosthodontics I and Fixed Prosthodontics II. Lectures on courses: Dental Materials, Pre-clinical and Laboratory Fixed Prosthodontics, Fixed Prosthodontics I and Fixed Prosthodontics II. Associate at Professional Development courses for Doctors of Dental Medicine in organization of School of Dental Medicine University of Zagreb and Croatian Dental Chamber.She is holder of postgraduate specialist (Prosthetic planning therapy and diagnostic approach in the aesthetic zone) and postgraduate scientific (Metals and alloys as biomaterials) subject at the University of Zagreb. Andreja Carek is active collaborator in several projects and leader of one of them.
