Mr. Tomasz Golas is currently Head of Research at Beekenkamp Group and Deliflor Chrysanten breeding company located in Maasdijk, The Netherlands. Prior to this he was a post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Molecular Plant Physiology, University of Nijmegen where he conducted research unraveling genetic structure and relationship between wild and cultivated Solanum using RNA seq technology. Prior to this Mr. Golas was a member of research consortium where together with Academic Institutes and Potato Breeding Companies he worked on identification of new genetic sources of resistance in wild Solanum species to improve resistance of cultivated Potato to various biotic stresses. During this time Mr. Golas completed his PhD thesis and in 2010 he acquired PhD title from Nijmegen University. His scientific career began at the Wageningen University (The Netherlands) where as an exchange student he joined a respectable research group with focused on interaction between parasitic nematodes and host plants. Dr. Golas isan author of several publications with main focused on plant genetics, plant pathogen interaction and taxonomy.
