Ahmed Samy El-Agwany is a Lecturer of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Alexandria University, Egypt where he is involved in teaching, clinical practice and research. He is an assistant consultant of Gynecology at Alexandria university Hospitals, Egypt. He attained his PhD degree of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Faculty of Medicine from Alexandria University in February 2015 specialized in laparoscopy management of uterine prolapse. He also attained his Master degree of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Faculty of Medicine from Alexandria University in March 2010 specialized in infertility management. He completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program at the El-Shatby Maternity University Hospital (one of the largest university maternity hospitals in Egypt) and Dar Ismail Governmental Maternity Hospital (one of the largest governmental maternity hospitals in Egypt) in Alexandria. He attained his MBBCh (excellent, first class honor) in 2004 from Alexandria University, Egypt. He shared in research and training activities done in Alexandria University. He attended many professional national conferences as a speaker. He is a Member of different Medical Societies and editorial board member for national and international medical journals. He participated in Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs gynecological programs. He has authored more than 50 articles published in national and international journals that included infertility, gynecologic oncology, laparoscopy and obstetrics .He is also a Reviewer for national and international medical journals.
His Research interests are gynaecological oncology; pelvic floor surgery and minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopy and hysteroscopy).
