Dr. Sampalis is a native of Cranston and is a graduate of Cranston West High School. She completed her undergraduate degree at Northeastern University, where she received her bachelors degree in Biology. During her time at NU she completed some research on Giardia and possible treatments. She later worked at Oncogene Science measuring growth factors receptors and other biomarkers. Dr. Sampalis received her O.D. degree from New England College of Optometry in Boston where she trained in pediatrics, low vision, contact lens, and ocular therapeutics. Her training also included internships at the Providence Veterans Hospital, Boston Childrens Hospital and New England Eye.
