Biography

Muhammad Jahangir Hossen is an Associate Professor at the Department of Animal Science, Patuakhali Science & Technology University (PSTU), Bangladesh since October 18, 2014 and presently pursuing PhD study in the Dept. of Biotechnology and Bioengineering, Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea and will be a Doctor in February, 2016. He pursued his post graduation degree (MS in Animal science) with the First position and graduation in Bachelor of Science in Animal Husbandry (4 years course) with the position of First Class Fourth from Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh-2202, Bangladesh. Due to his extra ordinary performance he honored by 3 most prestigious award in South Korea such as outstanding foreign student (PhD) scholar (2013-2014), SKKU; KEB Global Scholar 2013; WooJung Education & Culture Foundation scholar 2014-2015. He joined as a lecturer in the same department in October 18, 2006 and promoted as Assistant Professor in October 18, 2008. Before joining the PSTU, he worked as a Manager (Poultry) in Bangladesh Branch in the institute of IIRD/ an organization of USA and also working in SLDP-2 and PLDP-2/ projects of DANIDA. His research plays significant roles for livestock principally rural poultry development in Bangladesh. He has published 21 papers (as a first author 12) in renowned journals including JEP (Top 1 in alternative medicine category ranking, 2 papers as a first author), AJCM (Top 2 in alternative medicine category ranking, 1papers as a first author), ECAM (Top 3 in alternative medicine category ranking, 1papers as a first author), EOTP (1papers as a first author), MOI (2 papers).He has been serving as an Editorial Board member , peer reviewer of several International journals including MOI and ECAM.
