Dr. Mariana Aleksandrova Petkova is an Animal Nutrition and Feed Technology researcher at Institute of Animal Science Kostinbrod, one of the largest research institutes in the Bulgarian Agricultural Academy. Her education and subsequent scientific degree and title in the scientific specialty “Animal Nutrition and Feed Technology” are an excellent basis for the manifestation of my professional training, knowledge, skills and qualities as a whole. The fact that her research career started in Germany and her specializations in Israel, Serbia and Norway extensively contributed to her professional training and qualification. Her participation in significant International scientific events in all over the world expanded her contacts and awakened new scientific interest in her. Bulgaria`s transition period to market economy was particularly difficult for science-money for science was insufficient. In this challenging period she improved herself in training of people from the practice on the importance of Animal Nutrition for the quality of animal origin products for human consumption. The other aspect of her qualification, she is as a Coordinator for International Cooperation, between 2007-2013. This additional function helped her to maintain the already established contacts and create new ones, increased and optimized my opportunities to organize and participate in International events. She has experience as evaluator of International projects under the FP7, Horizon 2020 and different International programs, which improved her skills as manager and organizer of the research process. She is a Reviewer of many International journals (Archiva Zootechnica (RO); IJAS (Iran); Pakistan Journal of Zoology; Agro FOOD INDUSTRY Hi-tech Journal (It); AJAR; KJS; IJABE; JAAR; JBT etc.)
