Biography

Dr. Mohamed Helmy Yacout is a Professor of Animal Nutrition in Animal Production Research Institute (APRI), Egypt. He got B.Sc. in Agriculture at 1969 (Ain Shams University), M.Sc. in Animal Nutrition 1987 (Alexandria University); PhD. from same University (1993). He worked in Agriculture Department & APRI Experimental Station (By-Products Utilization Department). He had visited Institutions in UK, France, Norway, Denmark and Holland to get an experience in upgrading crop residues & fodder reservation in specific. He attended many Conferences & Scientific Panel Meetings; Applied Researches in the use of crop residues, NPN utilization in ruminants in Sudan (1981), Aleppo – Syria (1988); manipulation of rumen micro-organisms (1990) & attended workshop in Nutrition Research in Zaragoza, Spain (1992); In using treated crop residues in animal feeding in Mashrik & Maghrab Countries (FAO, Rabat, Morocco, 1994). He attended many Scientific Conferences at the period 1992 – 2014. He is a Chairmen of Nubarya Society for Milk & meat Producers and Deputy President of Egyptian Society of Nutrition 7 Feeds; Egyptian Rural Agribusiness & Environment Development Association (ERADA – NGO). He published around 54 Research papers in the fields of Animal Nutrition, Up-grading Crop Residues by Physical, Chemical & Biological Treatments; Rumen Microbiology; Gas Production; Influence of Effective Micro-Organisms Herbs on Productivity & Reproductivity Performance of Ruminants.
