Dr. Rahmat Talukder is the Chair and Associate Professor of Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Ben and Maytee Fisch College of Pharmacy at the University of Texas at Tyler. Prior to that he served as the Founding Chair of Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at West Coast University School of pharmacy. He has his B.S. in Pharmacy from St. John’s University in New York and Ph.D in Pharmaceutics from Temple University, Philadelphia, PA. He has more than ten years of teaching and research experience in two schools of pharmacy and has over 12 years of experience as a pharmacist in hospital and community settings. He is a registered pharmacist in NY, CT, PA, OK, and TX. His experience also includes Solubility enhancement of poorly soluble small molecule employing different techniques, and in-vitro evaluation of oral drug delivery systems. He has published a number of research papers in peer-reviewed journals, and he is a regular reviewer for The International Journal of Pharmaceutics, Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology, and many others. He has received several intramural grants for his research projects during his tenure at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. He is a recipient of a CVS Scholarship for research achievement. He is a member of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists, and the Rho Chi Pharmacy Honor Society. He was invited to be an ACPE site visit team member and he often serves as a field reviewer for ACPE’s CPE provider evaluation.
