Professor Blyth is Director of the Information Security Research Group (ISRG) at the University of South Wales. He received his Ph.D in computer science from the Computing Laboratory, Newcastle University in 1995. The Information Security Research Group currently comprises 8 academic members of staff and 15 Ph.D students. Professor Blyth has function as the Cyber Technical Lead with the Cyber and Influence Centre, DSTL. Professor Blyth has function as a expert witness on a number of high profile cyber security court cases as well as advising government and industry. He has also written numerous books, journal papers and conference papers in the area of Information Security and Computer Forensics.
