Professor Dr. Mamdouh R. El-Ridi is currently the Chairman-in-charge of the department of Medical Physiology, and the Head of “Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation Unit”, Faculty of Medicine, Rabigh Branch, King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, Egypt. He completed his post-graduate internship in “Cairo University Teaching Hospitals” with special massive training in the “Cardiology Department” and “Comprehensive Care Center”. Afterwards, he joined the Department of Medical Physiology, Faculty of Medicine, Menoufya University, Egypt. He completed his career in the academic and research fields, and getting the doctoral degree in Medical Physiology, from the School of Medicine, Wayne State University, Michigan, USA. Subsequently he did a postdoctoral fellowship in cardio-respiratory research at the School of Medicine, WAU, USA. He was a member of “American Society for Neurochemistry” and “Society for Neuroscience”, USA; and he published a lot of Local and International articles.
