Leanid Shalkevich was graduated from the Belarussian Medical University in 1996 with qualification “Medical Doctor (pediatrician)” and then he had subspecialty in pediatric neurology. His responsibilities are to deliver lectures and conduct practical classes on paediatric neurology for postgraduate doctors, giving consultations of children as neurologist. He had Clinical training in Brno Epilepsy Centre at Medical Faculty of Masaryk University (Brno, Czech Republic, 2004) and also he studied muscles diseases at Summer school of Myology (Institut de Myologie, Paris, France, 2008). He is high quality experienced in electroencephalography (EEG) in children. He has got more than 100 articles concerning child neurological disease in Belarussian, Russian and European science journals. The results of his scientific research have been reported at the different European and World Congresses: EFNS (2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2014), European Academy of childhood disability (2010), ICNA (2013, 2014), Pan-Slavic Congresses of Child neurologists (2012, 2014). He was invited speaker of pediatric neurology in Mongolia, Russia, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. Dr. Shalkevich is a Leader child neurologist of Belarusian Ministry of Public health, the 1st Vice-president of Belarusian League against Epilepsy, member of Belarusian Society of Neurology and Neurosurgery and International Child Neurology Association (ICNA).
