Dr. Muktikesh Dash is currently full-time Associate Professor in the Department of Microbiology S.C.B Medical College and Hospital, India. He obtained his M.B.B.S and M.D (Microbiology) degree from M.K.C.G Medical College and Hospital affiliated to Berhampur University, Odisha, India in the year 1997 and 2003 respectively. After completing his M.D, he joined as Lecturer and subsequently promoted to Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology M.K.C.G Medical College and Hospital. He has more than fourteen years of teaching, diagnostic and research experiences in the field of Medical Microbiology. He has trained more than thousand medical officers and paramedical workers on issues related to HIV/AIDS, vector borne diseases, biomedical waste management, hospital infection control and transfusion transmitted infections. He has conducted various research projects on subjects related to antimicrobial drug resistance and hospital infections. His research primarily focused on opportunistic infections in HIV/AIDS, genotypic and phenotypic study on antimicrobial drug resistance and vector borne diseases. He has published more than 40 peer-reviewed research Articles over his career on various topics. He has also served as Editorial board member and reviewer on a number of peer-reviewed national and international journals.
