Dr. Mehmet Omer Gorduysus (DDS, PhD, Professor and Endodontist) was born in Istanbul. He was graduated from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Dentistry with the degree of DDS, completed his Post-graduate Program in Endodontics in the United States at the University of Southern California with the scholarship of Turkish Government and received the title of "Specialist in Endodontics”. Later he received his Ph.D degree in Endodontics from Hacettepe University, Ankara-Turkey and went to ACTA of Amsterdam with the scholarship of the Government of the Netherlands (given by NUFFIC). After that, he became an invited professor and a clinical instructor at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Endodontics in Canada for two academic years. Following his return to Turkey, he became tenured Professor in Hacettepe University, Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Endodontics in Ankara and Convener of Graduate Endo. He carried out a wide research and has many publications in SCI covered beside some local and international journals. He is a Vice President of the Animal Research Ethics Committee of Hacettepe University, giving national and international lectures and courses. He is also a convener of graduate endo clinic and possesses editorship (Former Editor in Chief of Clinical Dentistry and Research) and authorship for book chapters and is also a translator. He also holds a position of Professor in the University of Sharjah, College of Dentistry in United Arab Emirates, giving lectures, working in the field of research, pre-clinical and clinical teaching, supervising and instructorship.
