Dr. Daniela Chemim de Melo Hoyos is a degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2001), a master's degree (2004), and a doctorate (2008) in Animal Production and Science in Aquaculture / Molecular Biology and Genetics area from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, and a pos-doctoral degree from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences in Fish Genetics (2008) and Fish Nutrition (2009 to 2012) from the Federal University of Minas Gerais. She has experience in the field of Animal Science and production, with an emphasis on the production of aquatic organisms, and ornamental fish. She is currently an associate professor at the Veterinary School of the Federal University of Minas Gerais in the Aquaculture course.
Dr. Daniela Chemim de Melo Hoyos's research interests are Aquaculture, zebrafish as an experimental model, freshwater ornamental fish, fish production, fish physiology, fish immunology, fish biochemistry, water quality in aquaculture, production systems in aquaculture, the behavior of aquatic organisms, commercial production of ornamental fish.
