Dr. Salman khan is a Consultant Cardiac Surgeon working in the Department of Cardiac Sciences At King Abdul Aziz Medical City National Guards Health Affairs. He obtained a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Karachi, Pakistan. He earned Fellowship in Cardiac surgery from the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan. He has been awarded Consultant Cardiac Surgeons from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties in 2021. He has Membership in different cardiac and critical care societies in the Kingdom and abroad. He has been awarded as the “Laureate” from the CUREUS journal as a peer reviewer lifetime award. He has been a peer reviewer and associate editor in the JCCR and JSOC
Dr. Salman Khan is interested in the fields of research in Cardiac surgery, and critical care. ECMO, heart transplant heart failure, valvar heart diseases, surgery on the aorta, and congenital heart diseases. His present research focuses on searching for early post-op complications mainly arrhythmias and Del Nido cardioplegia
