Dr. Karima Gh. M. Mahmoud is a Professor of Reproductive Genetics in the Animal Reproduction & Artificial insemination Department, Veterinary institute, National Research Centre, Egypt. She is a graduate of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Zagazig University 1991. She did a Master’s in Veterinary Medicine (Theriogenology) in 1997 and Ph. D from University of Cairo, Egypt, 2001. She was a Research Assistant at National Research Centre, Egypt, 1993 -1997 and Assistant Researcher in Center in the same institute, 1997 -2001. She was a Researcher at National Research Centre, Egypt, from 2001 to 2006. She was an Assistant Professor of Reproductive Genetics, at the Department of Animal Reproduction, and A.I. National Research Center, Egypt from 2006 to 2010. From 2011 until the present, she is Professor of Reproductive Genetics, at the Department of Animal Reproduction, and A.I. National Research Center, Egypt.
Dr. Karima Gh. M. Mahmoud's research interests are • Reproductive biotechnology (fertility diagnosis and treatment, semen analysis, in vitro fertilization, vitrification of oocytes and embryos). • Cytogenetics (Chromosomal analysis of animals from blood, spleen, oocytes, and embryos). • Genetics (Genotyping of important genes in different animals, PCR, Real-time PCR, gene expression analysis, DNA damage detection).
