Dr. Sirma Todorova Angelova graduated with her higher education at the University of Economics in Varna Bulgaria in the year 2005 and gained a Master's degree in International Financial Affairs. In the year 2011, Dr. Angelova graduated from her higher education and gained a Master's Degree in Dental Medicine at the Medical University-Varna, Varna, Bulgaria. Since 2011 Dr. Sirma Angelova has been working as an Assistant-Professor at Medical University-Varna. Dr. Angelova gained a Certificate of Specialization in Pediatric Dentistry in December 2015. In 2017 Sirma Angelova gained a postgraduate degree, Ph.D., after accomplishment of independent research on the topic of “Caries Risk Assessment and Prevention in Children Suffering from Some Renal Disorders”. In the year 2018, Dr. Sirma Angelova gained an academic degree as Chief Assistant at the Medical University-Varna. In the year 2019 has been issued the monograph entitled “Epigenetic and Genetic Aspects of Oral Health in Children with Pyelonephritis” was authored by Dr. Sirma Todorova Angelova. Sirma Angelova has authored and co-authored more than 70 papers. Dr. Angelova has participated in more than 50 scientific congresses.
Dr. Sirma Todorova Angelova's research interests are Epigenetics as a cross-point of management of caries risk in children with specific common health problems; interactions between environmental factors, the common status of the organism, and oral and dental health; prophylactic care directed towards optimization of the oral and dental health condition in children suffering from common diseases, including renal disorders; evaluation of caries risk level in the context of epigenetic impacts a child’s age; Epigenetics’-related interpretations of assessment of periodontal status at different periods of childhood.
