Dr. Ashish Singh is a senior postdoctoral researcher at the School of Medicine, University College Dublin. He completed his higher studies at The M.S. University of Baroda, India, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Zoology, a Master of Science in Biochemistry, and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry. He was awarded the Erasmus Mundus Ph.D. exchange fellowship in 2014 for 12 months, where he completed his final year Ph.D. research at University College Dublin, Ireland. He is a member of the Society for Redox Biology in Medicine.
Dr. Singh's research interests are Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Mucosal immunology, Redox Biology, Intestinal physiology and metabolism, and host-microbe interactions. His present research focuses on neutrophil heterogeneity, NADPH oxidases, and Genetic engineering of probiotics and commensals microbes for modulating host metabolism.
