Dr. Ayan Raichaudhuri is a first-class Master's and Doctorate in Biochemistry from the Department of Biochemistry, University of Calcutta, India. He completed his Post Doctoral in Biochemistry from the Department of Biology, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, U.S.A. He was Senior Research Associate of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Government of India. He qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) of the Government of India and received a full fellowship for Doctoral research. He also qualified Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology with a high ranking. He has twenty-one years of experience in Biochemistry research and Plant Molecular Biology. Apart from Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, he researched Arabidopsis thaliana growth under stress and Arachis hypogea tissue culture and also growth under biotic and abiotic stress. He was Assistant Professor of Biochemistry Department at the Central University of Rajasthan, India, a teacher at Biochemistry department, West Bengal State University, India, and Scientist of Biochemistry division at Tea Board of India. He published papers in reputed journals and applied for a patent on his research work. He taught students for M.Sc, B.Sc Biochemistry & B.Tech Biotechnology courses. He is a reviewer of several scientific journals of repute and peer-reviewed papers and technical articles. He also delivered papers in more than ten international conferences.
Dr. Ayan Raichaudhuri's areas of interest are Energy-dependent transport and cellular detoxification processes of ABC transporters; Pyrophosphate energized proton pumps, Calmodulin like domain Protein Kinase (CDPK) domain analysis using biochemistry, biotechnology, molecular biology, proteomics, bioinformatics, and homology modeling.
