Professor Gabriel O. Adegoke a Professor of Food Safety and Food Microbiology at the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria obtained his Ph.D. degree ( Veterinary Microbiology) in 1984 from the University of Ibadan. Professor Adegoke has taught courses like Food Microbiology, and food biotechnology in Nigeria, South Africa, Eswatini, and Lesotho. Professor Adegoke is the Editor-in-Chief of Current Bacteriology and American Journal of Food Technology in addition to being an online reviewer to some international journals with reasonable impact factors. Professor Adegoke has served World Health Organisation(FERG) and Food and Agriculture Organisation (JECFA) as a Food Safety Expert. Professor Adegoke is a member of the Institute of Public Analysts of Nigeria and the Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology.
Professor Adegoke’s research interests center on the characterization and utilization of antioxidants for mitigating/ controlling disease processes important in agriculture and human medicine. Professor Adegoke currently carries out research works on mycotoxins and neutraceuticals.
