Dr. Lei Yan is currently working as a Professor in the College of Life Science and Biotechnology, affiliated with Heilongjiang Bayi Agricultural University (HBAU), China. He acquired his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Lanzhou University, China in June 2010. Dr. Yan has over 10 years of research experience in the field of Microbiology, Microecology, Biotechnology, and Nanobiotechnology. He is the Topic editor for Frontier in Microbiology, Guest editor for Journal of Spectroscopy. He has so far published more than 40 research articles in international peer-reviewed journals. He is serving as a reviewer for many reputed journals such as Bioresource Technology, Applied and Environmental Microbiology, Journal of Bacteriology, Journal of Applied Microbiology, Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology, Scientific Reports, Nano Research, Journal of Microbial & Biochemical Technology, Journal of Hazardous Materials, Letters in Applied Microbiology, FEMS Microbiology Letters, Biotechnology and Applied Biochemistry, Materials Science and Engineering C, Current Microbiology and 3 Biotech.
Dr. Lei Yan is interested fields of research are the ecophysiology of geo-microbes including ICB (Iron-cycling bacteria), SCB (Sulfur-cycling bacteria), and MTB (Magnetotactic bacteria); biomineralization and biogeomagnetism, bioleaching and bioremediation.
