Biography

Dr. Gülsüm Gümdoğdu Worked as an assoc. prof. at Midwifery Department in Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University. She has a bachelor's degree in midwifery, a master's degree in obstetrics, women's health and diseases, and a doctorate in midwifery. In her master's thesis, she studied the effect of anxiety in last trimester pregnant women on anxiety and pain in labor. In her doctoral thesis, she studied the effect of erass protocol on pain and breastfeeding in women who gave birth by cesarean section experimentally in four groups. She is a member of the Women's Health Nursing Association, Intercultural Nurses Association, and Turkish Midwives Association. She attended Urogynecology Nursing Course, Phytotherapy and Health Coaching, Developmental Care Course in Neonatal Intensive Care Units, Evidence-Based Skin Care Course in Newborns, Online Breastfeeding Symposium, Hypnobreastfeeeding, Water Birth Course and Family Training Program.


Research Interest

Dr. Gülsüm Gümdoğdu's interests are obstetrics, gynecology, pregnancy, prenatal, birth, and postpartum pain, anxiety, cesarean delivery, evidence-based practices, newborn, breastfeeding and midwifery, and midwifery teacher practices.
