Dr. Maria Kapritsou, RN, MSc, ΜSΗCΜ, Ph.D., PostDoc, is Chief Nurse of Anesthesiology Department in Hellenic- Anticancer Institute “Saint Savvas” Hospital, Athens, Greece. She holds a BSc in Nursing, Master of Science in Surgical Nursing, and Master OF science in Healthcare Nursing Management. She has a Ph.D. in Oncology Surgical Nursing, which was obtained from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. Also, she has completed her Postdoctoral Research in PeriAnaesthesia Nursing at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. She has experience in research methodology (quantitative and laboratory assays). She was awarded for her research work presented in 9 Hellenic Congresses. She is the founder, as well, the President of “Hellenic Perianaesthesia Nursing Corporation” and ex-Vice Chair of the Directors of the Board of International Collaboration of Perianaesthesia Nursing (ICPAN). She has a total of 46 publications in peer review journals.
Dr. Maria Kapritsou is interested in fields of research are clinical nursing practice and research focused on pain, stress, and neuropeptides’ levels issues, mainly concerning oncology, surgical patients (adults), and peri anesthesia nursing.
