Prof.Ph.D. Boris Antunovic is a Full Professor in Food Safety and Scientific Adviser in Veterinary Public Health at the University of J.J. Strossmayer, Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences in Osijek, Croatia. He is a Graduate of Food Safety – Hygiene of Products of Animal Origin on the Veterinary faculty of the University in Zagreb. 1994. He did a Master’s in Animal Hygiene, Ecology and Ethology (same University, 2000) and Ph. D Ph.D. in Parasitology and Molecular Biology (thesis done in Istituto Superiore di Sanita – Rome – Italy through a scholarship from the Italian government, defended on Veterinary faculty of the University in Zagreb). From 1995 he was a Food Safety Lecturer in the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences in Osijek, Croatia, from 2008 working as an Associate Professor and from 2013 Full Professor in the field of Food Safety, Animal Health, and Welfare. He was Director-General of the Croatian Food Agency (2004-2007).
